Quickbooks stores attached documents locally in a folder that matches the name of the Quickbooks .QBW filename. If the filename changes, Quickbooks will be unable to open attahment when you open them in Quickbooks
Issue Resolution:
- Close the Quickbooks company file
- Close Quickbooks
- Open Windows Explorer
- Browse to the Quickbooks folder
- Locate the attachments folder
- Rename the Quickbooks file to exactly match the attachments folder
- Re-open the data file in Quickbooks
